Our names

ArteKunst and Artsake Artists may also be referred to as Artsake, or Artsake Global Gallery. All terms and conditions refer to all of these and any subsequent domain name connected to Artsake or its branding.

 

Copyright

Every image in this web site is subject to copyright law. The copyright of these images belongs solely to the artists or the photographers that created them (whether commissioned or not) on behalf of the artists, and whilst you may download them by viewing them in your browser for the sole purpose of examining them, it is a breach of copyright laws which may render you liable to prosecution to store them (other than your browser cache) or reproduce them in any form or way whatsoever. Any trademarks displayed belong to their respective owners.

If you would like images for media or educational use please contact Artsake or contact the artist directly, using the online forms. We do not give out artists details.

 

Relating to subscribing as an Artsake Artist

A user name and password will be sent to you upon receipt of payment via PayPal. It may take up to three working days to process and prepare your pages, however we aim to do this within 12 hours. Your 12 months subscription begins from the date at which your Artsake space is ready. You will be sent a reminder one month before the renewal date.

At this moment in time there is not a shopping cart on this website. We are considering creating this service for any Artist who wishes to offer this as a paid-for service from their own pages.

Translations of text into other languages can be arranged for a fee. Artsake can take no responsibility for accuracy of text provided by the artists, in any language.

For a small registration and administration fee we can also register a domain name for you and have it pointing directly to your own page/s, the fee for this can vary depending upon the name you require. You can of course do this yourself, and we will give you the necessary code for that redirection.

Artsake reserve the right to change the design, layout and functionality of the website at anytime, and without notice.

Please also check and then recheck your spelling and grammar, it's amazing how easy it is to miss something!

Images must conform to the following:
a) JPG or PNG
b) File size must be under 2Mb (they will be resized automatically when transferred)
c) Please make sure that the quality of your ORIGINAL slide or photograph is suitably high before scanning. It is usually best to have any photographs taken by professional photographers, who will supply your images as digital files. If you require such a service we may be able to suggest a photographer or studio for you.
d) If you intend to do your own photography please note the following criteria:

  • Even lighting, avoid flourescent lights and mixing of tungsten and daylight. If in doubt use natural daylight on a bright cloudy day to avoid unnecessary shadows and glare.
  • Remember that we cannot colour correct your images as we have no access to the original, it is therefore in your best interest to check this before you upload them.
  • Direct on-camera flash will only give you a hotspot on your work and give harsh shadows.
  • Use a tripod and turn off your flash, set camera to maximum size jpeg files (or RAW if you are able to use a digital processing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Capture One).
  • Make sure you are square to the subject so that the resulting image does not have perspective that will distort your work.
  • In the case of mounted works, remove from frames and from behind glass to avoid shadows and reflections.
  • Frames must be cropped off the images before uploading to the Artsake website (unless of course this is part of the artwork)

The annual fee does not include: a shopping cart, screen savers, personal domain name, creation of your content (image or text) or language translations. Artsake reserve the right change the design, layout and functionality of the website, to change the prices (except on works of art), details, contents and links within this website at anytime without notice. Although we endeavour to do so whenever possible.

*Artsake does not guarantee that sales will be made directly online, however the exposure gained is a large contributing factor in sales being made between artists and collectors. These web pages are an addition to the artists' or their agent's ongoing, proactive marketing strategy, and the traditional exhibition, and not meant as a replacement. We also recommend that you spend time making leads into social networking sites to increase traffic to your page/s and interest in your work.

These links can only be submitted by registered users.
